Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 lb ground pork

1 cup cooked bacon, chopped

1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded

1 cup breadcrumbs

2 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan.

In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion and garlic until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the finely chopped mushrooms and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, cooked bacon, sautéed onion and mushroom mixture, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well blended.

Gradually fold in the shredded Swiss cheese, making sure it's evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared loaf pan, shaping and smoothing the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).

If desired, in the last 10 minutes of baking, add an extra layer of shredded Swiss cheese on top and return to the oven until melted and bubbly.

Once done, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

                  Prep Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins | Servings: 6-8

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve slices of the meatloaf on a platter, garnished with fresh parsley and paired with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
