Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1/2 cup ricotta cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian seasoned)

1 large egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Using your hands, form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs, placing them on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure they have enough space between each meatball to allow for even cooking.

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.

Once the meatballs are baked, carefully transfer them to the saucepan with the marinara sauce. Gently coat them in the sauce and let them simmer over low heat for an additional 5 minutes.

Serve the chicken ricotta meatballs warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves if desired.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the meatballs on a bed of spaghetti or zucchini noodles, drizzled with extra marinara sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top for an inviting dish.
