1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup marinara sauce

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped fresh basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated but do not overmix.

Form Meatballs: With damp hands, shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them onto a greased baking sheet or lined with parchment paper.

Bake Meatballs: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown on the outside.

Add Sauce: Remove the meatballs from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each meatball. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to heat the sauce.

Serve: Carefully remove the meatballs from the oven and let them cool slightly. Transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
