Ingredients

1 lb flank steak

1 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 cups mixed greens (arugula, spinach, and lettuce)

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup grilled corn kernels (fresh or frozen)

½ cup Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled

¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced

1 avocado, diced

1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Steak: In a medium bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Add the flank steak, ensuring it is thoroughly coated. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for enhanced flavor).

Prepare the Corn: If using fresh corn, grill cobs over medium-high heat until charred and tender, about 15 minutes, turning occasionally. If using frozen corn, you can sauté it in a pan with a little olive oil until heated through and slightly golden.

Grill the Steak: Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade (discard the marinade), and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.

Assemble the Salad: In a large salad bowl, combine mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, grilled corn, red onion, and diced avocado.

Add the Steak and Cheese: Arrange the sliced steak over the salad and sprinkle with crumbled Gorgonzola cheese.

Garnish and Serve: Drizzle additional balsamic vinegar over the salad for a finishing touch, and sprinkle fresh basil on top. Toss gently before serving.

              - Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 4

Presentation Tips: Serve the salad on a large platter for a family-style dinner; a sprinkle of extra Gorgonzola and a few whole basil leaves enhance the visual appeal.
