Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup cooked beef, shredded (use leftover roast or taco beef)

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.

Add Cheese and Beef: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and cooked beef until evenly distributed.

Prepare Wet Mixture: In another bowl, combine the milk and melted butter.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined. The batter will be thick and lumpy.

Prepare Baking Dish: Pour 1/2 cup of melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish, tilting to cover the bottom.

Add Dough: Scoop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough into the dish, evenly spaced. The batter will float slightly in the butter.

Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped chives before serving.

                    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 8

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve the biscuits warm, directly from the baking dish, adorned with fresh chives for a pop of color. Offer additional cheese or a side of your favorite dipping sauce.
