Ingredients

1 large loaf of Italian bread

1 lb thinly sliced sirloin steak

1 medium onion, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

2 cups provolone cheese, shredded

1 cup cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and green bell pepper, sautéing until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Then, add the sliced sirloin steak. Cook until the steak is browned and cooked to your liking, approximately 4-5 minutes. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and return the sautéed onions and peppers to the pan. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything well.

Cut the Italian bread in half lengthwise, creating two long halves. Scoop out some of the soft bread from the center to make room for the filling.

In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with half the shredded provolone cheese. Spread this creamy mixture evenly over both halves of the bread.

Spoon the steak mixture evenly onto the cream cheese layer on each half of the bread. Top with the remaining provolone cheese, allowing it to melt and ooze over the edges.

Place the cheesy bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before slicing into portions.

                  Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 4-6

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley, and a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Each slice can be served in a small paper boat for a fun touch!
