Ingredients

2 cups water

2 black tea bags

1 cup fresh blackberries

4-5 fresh sage leaves

2 tablespoons honey (or to taste)

1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

Ice cubes

Fresh blackberries and sage leaves for garnish

Instructions

In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Steep for about 5 minutes.

While the tea is steeping, prepare the blackberry-sage syrup. In a separate saucepan over medium heat, combine the fresh blackberries, sage leaves, and honey. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring gently until the blackberries break down and release their juices.

Strain the blackberry-sage mixture through a fine sieve into a bowl or jar, discarding the solids. This will give you a beautiful and fragrant syrup.

Once the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature. If you want to speed up the cooling process, you can place the tea in the refrigerator.

To assemble the iced tea latte, fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour about 1/2 cup of the cooled tea over the ice, then add 2-3 tablespoons of the blackberry-sage syrup (adjust based on your sweetness preference).

Finally, add the milk to the glass, stirring gently to combine all the flavors.

Taste and adjust with more syrup if desired.

Garnish with extra blackberries and a sage leaf for a beautiful finish.
