4pieceshamburger buns
to tastesalt and pepper
to garnishgreen onions, sliced
Instructions
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, and sauté until they are soft, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the ground chicken to the skillet and cook until it’s browned and fully cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 6-8 minutes.
Once the chicken is cooked, stir in the diced tomatoes, Cajun seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce if using. Mix everything well and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
While the chicken mixture is simmering, prepare the hamburger buns. You can lightly toast them on a pan or griddle if desired.
Serve the Cajun chicken mixture generously piled onto each bun.
Garnish with sliced green onions for an extra pop of flavor and color.
Notes
Serve with a side of sweet potato fries or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
