Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

¼ cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

10 egg roll wrappers

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Optional: lettuce, tomato, and pickles for serving

Optional: dipping sauce (ketchup or special sauce)

Instructions

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat.

Add Flavors: Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.

Mix Ingredients: Add the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture. Stir well, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Cheese It Up: Once cooled, mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until well incorporated.

Prepare Egg Rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointed toward you. Place about 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture in the center.

Roll It Up: Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Seal the top corner with a bit of water. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

Heat Oil: In a deep skillet or fryer, heat oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Egg Rolls: Carefully add a few egg rolls to the hot oil without overcrowding. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes, turning as needed. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve: Allow to cool slightly and serve warm, optionally garnished with lettuce, tomato, and pickles, along with your favorite dipping sauce.
