Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch cake pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix well until smooth.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Once baked, allow the cake to cool completely in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
After the cake has cooled, crumble it into a large mixing bowl.
Add the cream cheese frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until fully combined and moist.
Using your hands, roll the mixture into medium-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Freeze the cake balls for about 30 minutes to firm up.
Meanwhile, melt the green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
Dip each chilled cake ball into the melted green candy, allowing the excess to drip off before placing them back on the parchment.
In a separate bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave until smooth. Drizzle or dip the white chocolate onto the green-coated cake balls for added decoration.
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with edible glitter or festive sprinkles and place a small star-shaped candy on top of each cake ball.
Once decorated, let the cake balls set at room temperature until the coating hardens.
Notes
Arrange the cake balls on a festive platter, resembling a small Christmas tree, for a dazzling holiday treat centerpiece!
