Ingredients

4 slices of sourdough bread

4 ounces Brie cheese, sliced

4 slices of prosciutto

1/4 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Fresh arugula (for garnish, optional)

Freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)

A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

Begin by buttering one side of each slice of sourdough bread. Make sure to cover the entire surface for an even golden crust.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.

Layer the Brie cheese evenly on top of the two slices of bread.

Add a slice of prosciutto on top of the Brie, followed by a generous spoonful of cranberry sauce. To complete it, add the remaining slices of Brie.

Top with the remaining two slices of bread, butter-side up, creating a sandwich.

Cook for about 3-4 minutes, pressing gently with a spatula to encourage an even melt.

Carefully flip the sandwich over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until both sides are golden brown and the Brie has melted beautifully.

Remove the grilled cheese from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Slice it in half diagonally, and season with a pinch of sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

Optional: Serve with fresh arugula on the side, which adds a peppery bite that beautifully complements the richness of the cheese and prosciutto.

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve hot on a rustic wooden board, with the arugula lightly tossed in olive oil and lemon juice placed beside the sandwich for a pop of color. You can also drizzle extra cranberry sauce on the side for dipping!
