Ingredients

6 large croissants, stale or day-old, sliced in half

1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread (like Nutella)

4 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts (optional)

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

Arrange the sliced croissants in the prepared baking dish, cut side up. Spread a generous layer of chocolate hazelnut spread on each half. If desired, sprinkle chopped hazelnuts on top of the spread.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants, ensuring they are well soaked. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the croissants to absorb the mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

Dust with powdered sugar for a finishing touch before slicing.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 6-8

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve warm, directly from the baking dish, or plate individual portions garnished with fresh strawberries or raspberries for added color and flavor.
