Ingredients

12 slider rolls

1 lb roast beef, thinly sliced

1 cup beef broth

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: sliced pickles for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are caramelized and golden brown, about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.

Once the onions are done, add the garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well and set aside.

In a small saucepan, heat the beef broth over low heat. You want it warm but not boiling.

Slice the slider rolls in half and place the bottom halves in a large baking dish.

Layer the thinly sliced roast beef evenly across the bottom slider halves.

Spoon the caramelized onion mixture over the roast beef, and then sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese evenly on top.

Place the top halves of the slider rolls over the cheese layer to create the sliders.

Brush the tops of the slider rolls lightly with melted butter and sprinkle a pinch of garlic powder on top for added flavor.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake an additional 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.

Once done baking, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. While they cool, pour the warm beef broth into small bowls for dipping.

Using a serrated knife, slice the sliders apart. Serve them warm, with the beef broth alongside for dipping.
