4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.

    Brown the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted and bubbling, add the chicken breasts. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

      Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Sauté the garlic for about 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning, until fragrant.

        Add Chicken Broth and Lemon Juice: Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any browned bits. Bring the sauce to a simmer.

          Return Chicken to the Pan: Place the chicken breasts back in the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them. Let simmer for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the chicken to absorb the sauce.

            Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Serve the chicken with a generous drizzle of the garlic butter sauce.
