Ingredients

2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Start by bringing the steaks to room temperature. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Use a meat thermometer for precision, aiming for 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.

While the steaks are cooking, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Add the shrimp to the pan with garlic butter, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and chopped parsley.

Once the steaks are cooked to your liking, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for about 5 minutes.

Slice the steaks against the grain. Serve the sliced steak alongside the garlic butter shrimp. Drizzle the remaining garlic butter over the top and garnish with additional parsley.

Serve with lemon wedges on the side for an added zesty kick.
