Ingredients

6 large buttery croissants, cut into quarters

1 cup diced ham

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

6 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In the prepared baking dish, layer half of the croissant quarters evenly across the bottom.

Sprinkle the diced ham over the croissant layer, followed by the sharp cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.

Add the remaining croissant quarters on top, creating a second layer.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Blend until the mixture is smooth and homogenous.

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered croissants, ensuring every piece is coated.

Gently press down on the croissants with a spatula to submerge them in the egg mixture, allowing everything to soak.

Let the dish rest for about 10 minutes to allow the croissants to absorb some of the liquid.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the eggs are set.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped chives before slicing and serving.
