1 lb ground turkey or chicken

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

1/4 cup finely chopped green onions

1/4 cup crushed pineapple, drained

1/4 cup grated carrot

1 egg, beaten

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon ginger powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce (for glaze)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey or chicken with breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, crushed pineapple, grated carrot, beaten egg, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, and seasoning.

      Mix the ingredients thoroughly until just combined; do not over-mix.

        Shape the mixture into small meatballs (about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

          Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

            In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the meatballs with sweet chili sauce for a sweet and spicy glaze.

              Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
