Ingredients

3 ripe avocados

1 small red onion, finely chopped

1 jalapeño, seeds removed and finely chopped

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 2 limes

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1/4 teaspoon cumin (optional)

Instructions

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

Using a fork or potato masher, gently mash the avocados to your desired level of creaminess (leave it somewhat chunky for texture).

Add the finely chopped red onion, diced tomato, and chopped jalapeño to the bowl.

Sprinkle in the fresh cilantro and pour in the lime juice.

Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cumin. If you prefer a little extra kick, you can add more jalapeño.

Gently fold the ingredients together until just combined, ensuring to keep some avocado chunks intact.

Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding more lime juice or salt as needed.
