4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

1 teaspoon paprika

2 large eggs

½ cup all-purpose flour

Salt and pepper to taste

¼ cup olive oil or melted butter for drizzling

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Prepare the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them gently to an even thickness of about 1 inch. This ensures even cooking.

    Set Up Breading Station: In three separate shallow dishes, set up your breading station:

      - In the first dish, place the flour seasoned with salt and pepper.

        - In the second dish, beat the eggs until smooth.

          - In the third dish, mix the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs, and paprika.

            Coat the Chicken: Start by dipping each chicken breast into the flour, shaking off excess, then into the egg, allowing the extra to drip off, and finally into the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture. Press gently to ensure it sticks well.
