Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1/4 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Steamed rice or quinoa (for serving)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, and grated ginger until well combined.

Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.

In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of sesame oil. Once heated, add the chicken thighs and sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.

Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken in the pan, allowing it to bubble and thicken for about 3-5 minutes. Make sure to coat the chicken well in the sauce.

Once the sauce has thickened, remove the skillet from heat. Allow the chicken to rest for a minute.

Slice the chicken into strips or serve whole, drizzled with the sauce from the skillet.

Garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.

Plate the chicken over a bed of steamed rice or quinoa to soak up the delicious sauce.
