Ingredients

12 slider rolls

1 pound ground beef

1/2 cup Italian sausage, crumbled

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

12 slices provolone cheese

1/2 cup marinara sauce

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and crumbled Italian sausage.

Add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the meat mixture. Mix well until evenly combined.

Form the meat mixture into 12 equal-sized patties.

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked through.

While the patties are cooking, cut the slider rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a baking dish.

Once the patties are cooked, layer each patty on top of the rolls in the baking dish.

Top each meat patty with a slice of provolone cheese and a spoonful of marinara sauce.

Add the top halves of the rolls over the cheese and marinara, gently pressing down.

Drizzle a little olive oil over the top of the sliders and sprinkle with chopped basil for freshness.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
