Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 large egg

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1/2 cup shredded coconut, toasted

1/4 cup crushed pineapple, drained

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth and creamy.

Add the egg to the cream cheese mixture and mix until fully incorporated. Set aside.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. On the parchment-lined baking sheet, arrange the triangles to form a star shape by overlapping the wide ends in the center. Press down to secure.

Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the center of the star shape.

Sprinkle the toasted coconut and crushed pineapple evenly over the cream cheese filling.

Bring the points of the dough over the filling towards the center. You can fold them over each other to create a beautiful enveloped look while leaving the filling peeking out in the middle.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the Danish is golden brown and puffed.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Garnish with fresh mint leaves for an extra touch of freshness.
