Ingredients

1 package King's Hawaiian Sweet Roll bread (12 rolls)

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

½ cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

½ cup blueberries

1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

1 egg, for egg wash (optional)

2 tablespoons melted butter, for brushing

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Beat until smooth and creamy.

Gently flatten each King's Hawaiian Sweet Roll slightly with the palm of your hand. Use your fingers to create a small indentation in the center of each roll, forming a small bowl.

Evenly distribute the cream cheese mixture into the center of each roll, filling them generously but avoiding overflow.

Top each filled roll with a few slices of fresh strawberries and a sprinkle of blueberries. If desired, mix the berries with cornstarch to create a thicker filling.

If using, lightly whisk the egg to create an egg wash. Brush the tops of each Danish with the egg wash and then with melted butter for a golden crust.

Arrange the filled rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cream cheese filling is bubbling slightly.

Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
