1 lb ground beef

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean red chili paste)

1 cup cooked jasmine rice

1 cup shredded carrots

1 cucumber, thinly sliced

2 green onions, sliced

Sesame seeds for garnish

Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions
 

In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.

    Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

      Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until browned and cooked through.

        In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, and gochujang. Stir well until sugar is dissolved.

          Pour the sauce mixture over the cooked beef, stirring to combine. Allow it to simmer for another 2-3 minutes so the flavors meld.

            While the beef simmers, prepare the rice in bowls.

              Top the rice with a generous serving of the Korean ground beef.

                Arrange the shredded carrots and sliced cucumber on top of the beef.
