4piecesgreen onions, chopped (white and green parts separated)
1cupshredded carrots
1cupcooked rice (white or brown)
nonesesame seeds for garnish
noneSriracha sauce for serving (optional)
Instructions
In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.
Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then add the soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the beef is well-coated, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
Stir in the shredded carrots and chopped white parts of the green onions. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the carrots to soften slightly.
Serve the ground beef mixture over bowls of cooked rice.
Garnish each bowl with chopped green onion tops and sesame seeds. For extra heat, drizzle with Sriracha if desired.
Notes
Adjust the red pepper flakes for desired spiciness. Sriracha can be added for extra heat.
