Ingredients

12 mozzarella cheese sticks

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably seasoned)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying (preferably vegetable or canola oil)

Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

Begin by preparing your breading station. Place the flour in one shallow dish, the beaten eggs in another dish, and mix together the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third shallow dish.

Take a mozzarella stick and roll it in the flour until evenly coated, shaking off any excess.

Dip the floured stick in the beaten eggs, ensuring it's fully coated, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the breadcrumbs to the cheese.

For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating process to double coat the mozzarella sticks.

Once all sticks are coated, place them in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. This step is essential to prevent the cheese from melting too quickly during frying.

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat about 2 inches of oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Carefully add the frozen mozzarella sticks to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 1-2 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown. Be sure not to overcrowd the pan.

Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked mozzarella sticks to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serve hot with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy your deliciously cheesy treat!
