Ingredients

1 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

12 egg roll wrappers

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Optional: ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce for added flavor (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently.

Sauté Vegetables: Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet with the steak. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender. If using, stir in the Worcestershire sauce along with the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.

Mix in Cheese: Once the steak and vegetables are cooked, fold in the shredded provolone cheese. Mix until the cheese begins to melt and bind the filling together. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Assemble the Egg Rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean, dry surface with a corner facing you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the steak and cheese mixture onto the center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly to seal. Repeat this process for all wrappers.

Heat Oil: In a deep skillet or fryer, heat about 2 inches of oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry Egg Rolls: Carefully add the egg rolls in batches (do not overcrowd). Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve: Allow the egg rolls to cool slightly before serving.
