Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup fresh raspberries (or frozen, thawed and drained)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar, mixing until well combined.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, smoothing it out evenly.

In a separate mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

Spread the cream cheese mixture over the first layer of brownie batter, then scatter the fresh raspberries over the cream cheese.

Dollop the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl lightly with a knife to create a marbled effect.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Prep Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 50 mins | Servings: 16 squares

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve the brownies on a decorative plate, dusted with powdered sugar and garnished with a few fresh raspberries on top. Consider pairing with a dollop of whipped cream for an extra treat!
