12 slices of bacon (thick cut)

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

½ cup hot frying oil (such as vegetable or canola oil)

¼ cup Nashville hot chicken spice mix (store-bought or homemade)

2 tablespoons honey (optional, for drizzling)

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

    Wrap each mozzarella stick tightly with a slice of bacon, overlapping slightly. Secure the ends with toothpicks if necessary.

      Prepare your three-step breading station:

        a. Place the flour in one shallow dish.

          b. In a second dish, add the beaten eggs.

            c. In a third dish, mix the panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

              Dredge each bacon-wrapped mozzarella stick first in the flour, shaking off the excess, then dip into the eggs, and finally coat with the seasoned panko mixture, pressing lightly to ensure it adheres well.
