Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, sliced

1 medium bell pepper, sliced (red or green)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

4 hoagie rolls

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Steak: In a bowl, toss the thinly sliced sirloin with olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 10-15 minutes.

Cook the Vegetables: In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, sautéing for about 5 minutes until they soften and become slightly caramelized. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Remove the veggies from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Steak: In the same skillet, increase to high heat. Add the marinated steak strips in a single layer and sear for about 2-3 minutes without stirring, allowing them to develop a nice brown crust. Stir and cook for another 1-2 minutes until cooked through.

Combine and Melt: Reduce heat to medium-low. Return the cooked onions and peppers to the skillet with the steak. Mix well and spread everything evenly in the pan. Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese over the top, covering the mixture. Cover the skillet for about 2 minutes to allow the cheese to melt thoroughly.

Assemble the Sandwich: Slice the hoagie rolls and lightly toast them if desired. Spoon the steak and veggie mixture generously into each roll.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the filled sandwiches for a fresh touch before serving.
