Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for filling)

1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/4 cup icing sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.

Make the Dough: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.

Add Strawberries and Pecans: Sprinkle the chopped strawberries, pecans, cinnamon, and brown sugar over the cream cheese layer.

Form the Rolls: Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Slice the log into about 10 rolls and place them in the prepared baking dish.

Bake the Rolls: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Make the Glaze: While the rolls are baking, mix the icing sugar with a tiny amount of water until you reach a pourable consistency.

Glaze Your Rolls: Once the cinnamon rolls are out of the oven, let them cool briefly, then drizzle the icing glaze over the warm rolls.

Serve and Enjoy: Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy these delightful rolls warm!
