Ingredients

2 ribeye steaks (about 1-inch thick)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: grilled asparagus or sautéed mushrooms (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Steaks: Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Sear the Steaks: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully add the seasoned steaks to the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side, without moving them, to achieve a nice crust.

Flip and Cook: Flip the steaks and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or longer depending on your preferred doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check for the desired internal temperature: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare. Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest on a plate, tented with foil.

Make the Garlic Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Create the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add the Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce, whisking continuously until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine and Serve: Slice the rested steaks against the grain and arrange them on serving plates. Pour the creamy garlic sauce generously over the steak slices.

Garnish: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top for a pop of color and freshness.

                - Presentation Tips: Serve with a side of grilled asparagus or sautéed mushrooms for an extra touch. Arrange the steak slices in a fan shape on the plate, drizzled with sauce, and garnish with a few whole garlic cloves for a rustic look.
