Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20)

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup diced green bell pepper

1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon chili powder

½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

4 hamburger buns

4 slices of Swiss cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until it becomes translucent.

Stir in the minced garlic and diced green bell pepper, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until the peppers soften.

Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Stir in the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

In the last few minutes of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each serving of the meat mixture in the skillet, covering it with a lid to allow the cheese to melt.

Toast your hamburger buns lightly, either in a toaster or on a skillet.

To assemble, spoon a generous amount of the meat and cheese mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Cap with the top half of the bun.
