Ingredients

1 cup strong brewed green tea, cooled

1 tablespoon matcha powder

8 ounces mascarpone cheese

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

12 ladyfinger cookies

Cocoa powder, for dusting

Dark chocolate shavings, for garnish

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whisk together the cooled brewed green tea and matcha powder until well combined. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, beat until soft peaks form, creating a light and fluffy mousse.

Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the matcha tea mixture one at a time, ensuring they are moistened but not soggy.

In a glass baking dish or individual servings cups, layer half of the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom.

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, smoothing it out evenly.

Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers followed by the rest of the mascarpone mixture.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
